Harden X™ is designed for interior and exterior areas on new or aged concrete (as noted in ACI Standard 302.1R-89), including tilt-up construction slabs. Densifiers and Hardeners
SealSource Lithium Silicates protect, harden and seal concrete in a process that is known as Densification. The chemical reactions of lithium silicates are more stable than those caused by other volatile conventional silicates, allowing the material to penetrate more deeply and react more evenly throughout the concrete. Harden X™ and its derivatives XP and SI react with the lime in the concrete to form stable tri-calcium silica structures for maximum hardening, sealing, and densification. Other silicates absorb moisture and cause ASR, raising the pH of the surface and weakening the substrate over time. Lithium silicates are pH neutral and insoluble, providing maximum water resistance. The cutting-edge technology in our proprietary lithium formulation makes the Harden X™ range the most advanced product of its kind.
CureHard™ extends the proven hardening properties of Harden X™ to deliver a combined curing agent and densification treatment in a single application. CureHard™ exceed ASTM C-309 requirements whilst significantly reducing the labour cost in application. There is no need to remove a traditional curing agent before applying a concrete densifier. Harden X SI™ provides superior protection against salt intrusion as it hardens, seals, and densifies concrete and masonry surfaces. The lithium silicate formulation of Harden X SI™ reacts with the calcium hydroxide in the concrete to form a stable, insoluble tri-calcium silica structure and chloride screens for maximum resistance to dusting, abrasion, salt intrusion, bacteria and chemical attack.
Harden X SI™ is applied evenly over the area to be treated — there is no need to flush the surface or remove and dispose of any excess material after installation. The insolubility of the lithium in Harden X SI™ provides superior water resistance over sodium silicates which absorb moisture and cause the ASR that produces cracking and crazing after repeated expansion/contraction cycles.
MAXIMUM RESISTANCE
Harden X SI™ reduces surface porosity for maximum resistance to dusting, moisture and chemical attack. Mohs hardness testing shows a 38% increase in abrasion resistance. Harden X SI™ also reduces the potential for efflorescence.

Harden X SI™ is applied evenly over the surface with no flushing, removal or disposal of any excess material and is dry in 10 minutes (open to traffic in 30).
